Renovations

Renovating memorials usually involves lifting, levelling, fixing broken pieces, redowelling and deep cleaning and can be very successful in transforming an old and sometimes neglected stone.  See below some before-and-after images to illustrate.

It is sometimes worth considering replacing an old memorial completely with a less porous type of stone, or one of a simpler construction, as memorials which are constructed of certain stone types will quite quickly take on moss, lichens and algae again

after being cleaned.
