Stonewriters supply memorial stones and lettering services throughout East Anglia, utilising both modern and traditional techniques. Our workshop is situated on the outskirts of the historic town of Halstead set amongst beautiful Essex countryside.

We specialise in creating unique stone memorials to the highest standard of craftsmanship.  In working directly with our clients we are able to listen carefully to their needs and explore all possible options regarding design and materials. Without the involvement of a third party we are able to maintain extremely competitive prices.

Our extensive knowledge of lettering means that we are able to offer a range of services including stone carving to inscribe headstones, pet memorials and house names, calligraphy for such things as Books of Remembrance, poetry, invitations and certificates, and sign painting.

We also offer Memorial Renovation work.
